Before you start: A tinyEmail account, an accessible sender mailbox, DNS access for your own domain and contacts who have subscribed to your newsletter.

Menu labels and available features can vary by plan, language and version.

Step 1: Create your account and brand kit

Register with tinyEmail and complete onboarding. Open your account menu, then My Account → Brand kit, and add your logo, colours and website links. Check the current plan limits before importing a large audience.

Keep a simple logo and one primary colour ready so your first template stays readable.

Step 2: Verify the sender and authenticate the domain

Set up a sender identity using an address on your own domain. Follow the verification request, then use tinyEmail’s DNS setup, which offers an ENTRI-assisted flow or manual records. Review the requested changes before authorizing them.

For manual setup, copy the record type, hostname and value shown for your account into your DNS provider. Keep existing mail records and confirm authentication in tinyEmail before sending.

Step 3: Prepare and import your audience

Use an integration for an existing subscriber source, or upload an audience file. Map the email and name fields and review the import result before continuing. A small test audience should contain only mailboxes you control.

If you use this site’s extractor, export CSV after reviewing the addresses. Keep consent records and suppression lists separately: extraction cannot recreate them. Never import previously unsubscribed contacts as new subscribers.

Step 4: Build the first campaign

Open Campaigns → Create Campaign → Email campaign. Enter an internal name, subject and preview text. Choose your verified sender, select a template and replace all sample content.

Use one clear purpose, such as a welcome message, with one main link. Keep the unsubscribe option and accurate sender details in the footer.

Step 5: Send a test and inspect it

Use Send test in the editor. Inspect the message in your own desktop and mobile inboxes, including the preview text. Click every link and check the sender and reply address.

Test with a contact that has no first name so you can spot a broken greeting. Review images with loading disabled and make sure the message still makes sense.

Step 6: Choose recipients and review results

Select the intended audience, review the final campaign summary and send or schedule if your plan supports it. After delivery, inspect bounces, complaints and clicks before expanding your audience.

Record which list and message you sent. Investigate unexpected failures before the next campaign rather than repeatedly sending the same message.

Avoid common mistakes

  • Authentication pending: check the DNS host and record names against the values in your account.
  • Import looks wrong: inspect CSV headers and field mapping before retrying.
  • A test works but the campaign does not: check recipient selection, account status and plan limits.

FAQ

Is tinyEmail the same as tinymail?

This guide covers tinyEmail, the newsletter service linked on this website. Other products with similar names may work differently.

Can I send to every extracted email address?

No. An address export does not establish a newsletter subscription. Import only contacts eligible for the intended mailing and preserve opt-outs.

Is authentication a guarantee of inbox delivery?

No. Authentication is one part of delivery; recipient engagement, complaints and the quality of your list also matter.

Next step: prepare your data

Review existing addresses before transferring them. Clean address formatting replaces neither mailbox validation nor subscription evidence.
